We’re actually much happier when we’re old. A recent research study found that people actually get happier as they get going to help others.
#1 – VOLUNTEER your TIME, SKILLS, RESOURCES for benefits of others, unconditionally.
One simple way is to Spend time with Seniors, Listen to their stories, ASK for their lifetime experiences, their learning and spend some quality time with them, walk with them, play with them….
Older people tend to have internal mechanisms to deal better with hardship or negative circumstances than those who are younger. Another reason seniors may also be happier is because age means that they are “more comfortable being themselves.”
Happiness is the only goal and purpose of life. Get it easily – Anywhere, Anytime, Everytime. ~ GopiKrishan
Older people tend to be happier. But why? Some psychologists believe that cognitive processes are responsible—in particular, focusing on and remembering positive events and leaving behind negative ones; those processes, they think, help older people regulate their emotions, letting them view life in a sunnier light.
According to one study, four of the top five activities most commonly cited by seniors as being their favorites are, by their nature, very active. They include walking and jogging, gardening and yard work, playing sports, and other physical pursuits. But fun takes many different forms.
